At Tomlinson Parbans Joinery we employ time served joiners and the majority have been with us for many years. We’ve built an excellent reputation for quality bespoke joinery using a combination of traditional and state of the art techniques.

A new installation has to look good and last, so it is imperative that we choose the right material for your project.
Accoya
Accoya® provides the best dimensional stability ideal for external use and is guaranteed against rot for 50 years.
OAK
Oak provides a stylish timeless finish. It is relatively low maintenance whilst being extremely strong and durable providing protection against weather.
Cedar
Western red cedar is ideal for exterior joinery where a stain or oil is used to enhance its rich colour. It is most suited for garage doors, gates and cladding.
Softwood
There are various softwoods, they are a sturdy and popular timber, with distinctive knots and markings. Most commonly used for interior joinery.

Our preferred material is Accoya
Accoya® wood has been thoroughly tested for dimensional stability, durability and paint retention to ensure optimal performance. Indeed, it is so reliable that for many years it has been – and continues to be – used by scientists as the benchmark against which other treatments and modifications are measured. It is guaranteed against rot for 50 years.

TEKNOS is an industrial topcoat for wood designed for exterior use.
We apply TEKNOS using state of the art spraying systems. Known for its exterior durability, it is our preferred coating for any of our paint finish projects. It is a robust topcoat, which typically is used for exterior windows and doors.
